The Evans Law Firm

A wise man said that we all are different but we share two things, a fear of death and fear of losing property. As a lawyer I am intimately involved in both.

Rather than list a lot of individual sites, I have tried to put together a list of portals that will lead you to the rich wealth of knowledge that is on the Web.

http://www.actec.org/public/wills.asp The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel have provided the public with a good explanation of wills and what you and your lawyer should cover.

http://www.mtpalermo.com A Crash Course in Wills and Trusts - This is Attorney Mike Palermo's plain language explanation of the estate planning information defining estate tax, probate, the executor, the power of attorney, living wills etc,

http://www.aoa.dhhs.gov/ Administration of Aging has a vast site dealing with all kinds of issues for seniors. It's best offering is the Internet Website listings that deal with every possible facet of senior living. Find it by clicking "websites on aging" and then click "Internet Information Notes." So far this is the biggest and most comprehensive site I've found for people who are in their golden years OR their children who are trying to help. It is tucked away and I couldn't work a direct link to its website pages so you will have to follow the directions to get to it. It is worth the time if you are looking for help for the aging.

http://estateplanninglinks.com This is the top of the list to find any thing concerning estate planning. It is for the professional as well as the consumer.

http://www.law.cornell.edu/top ics/estate_planning.html Part of Cornell's huge Legal Learning Institute, LLI has a vast variety of information and this estate planning site is worth a visit.

http://www.seniorlaw.com/

Senior Law Home Page is an award winning site for elder law, estate planning and medicaid/medicare planning for Newyorkers presented by Goldfarb and Abrandt

Yes, I need an estate plan!
